Our Story

Jeff’s Family Friendly Restaurant has been in Murfreesboro serving soul food for more than 16 years.Our restaurant is focused on family and mainly because its run by one. Our family consists of John (Father and head number cruncher), Mattie (Mother and The Boss) Jeff (Cook and Recipe inventor),and Jimi (Desert creator).Our Father is a retired auditor for the Government, our Mother is a retired nurse,Jeff was a food and beverage director for a prominent health care facility and holds a degree in pre med. Jimi was a microbiologist for a dairy and also holds a pre med degree.

We are truly the American dream ,a melting pot of different ideas and creativity that makes our business unique. Our parents worked up from the bottoms of Nashville TN and instilled in their children Christian values and the importance of a work ethic. That has been our recipe for success. We love to eat and we love to cook, so why not do what we like to do. They say if you work doing what you like to do you never work another day of your life. (I wonder who said that?)

At Jeff's we are committed to providing our customers with the best of quality food and service. You will always be greeted with a warm smile and polite attitude from our employees. All of our meats are cut by local butchers & all poultry is fresh and never frozen, unlike most restaurants in the city and when in season our vegetables are hand picked by Jeff and his family. We work hard to provide soul food cooking that reminds our customers of coming home to a home cooked meal.
